Visiting Statistician

The Center for Applied Statistics is joined every year by two “distinguished statisticians in residence.” The visiting statisticians are top scholars in statistics who spend the first and last week of the semester here at Washington University giving lectures and setting up an agenda for the time in between with a local faculty member and graduate students. These are highly topical and very technical offerings.

The visiting statistician for Fall 2009 will be Dr. Brad Carlin from the University of Minnesota.

In the 2008-09 academic year we hosted George Casella (University of Florida) and Ben Hansen (University of Michigan).
